About Lunara
Lunara is an AI-powered parenting wellness platform designed to help parents and guardians track and understand their child's development. The Lunara application provides educational tools, milestone tracking, AI-powered parenting insights, sleep tracking, feeding logs, vaccination scheduling, growth monitoring, developmental guidance, and personalised parenting recommendations — all in one application.
Lunara is operated by Lunara Technologies Private Limited, a company incorporated under the laws of India. We serve users globally, including families in India, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, the UAE, and member states of the European Union.
Lunara provides educational and informational guidance only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or any form of professional healthcare service. These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Lunara application and all associated services.
Acceptance of Terms
By doing any of the following, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy:
- Creating a Lunara account
- Accessing or opening the Lunara application
- Using any feature of the Lunara platform
- Purchasing a subscription or making any in-app purchase
- Entering any information into the application
If you do not agree to these Terms of Service, you must not create an account, must not use the application, and must discontinue all use of Lunara immediately. You may contact us at legal@yourdomain.com to request deletion of any account or data we hold.
Eligibility
To create an account and use Lunara, you must meet all of the following eligibility requirements:
- Age: You must be at least 18 years of age. Lunara is not available to individuals under 18 years old
- Capacity: You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract under the laws of your jurisdiction
- Accuracy: You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account and at all times during your use of the platform
- Parental responsibility: If you enter information about a child into the platform, you represent and warrant that you are the child's parent or legal guardian, or that you have the explicit authorisation of the child's parent or legal guardian to do so
- Not previously suspended: You must not have had a Lunara account previously terminated for violation of these Terms of Service
By using Lunara, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements listed above. Lunara reserves the right to verify eligibility and to suspend or terminate accounts where eligibility requirements are not met.
User Accounts
When you create a Lunara account, you are responsible for maintaining the security of that account and for all activities that occur under it.
- Account security: You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, including your password and any authentication tokens
- Account activities: You are responsible for all actions taken using your account, whether authorised by you or not
- Accurate information: You must provide and maintain accurate, current, and complete account information at all times
- One account per user: You may not create or maintain more than one active account without Lunara's prior written consent
- Non-transferable: Your account is personal to you and may not be transferred, sold, or shared with any other person
Child Profile Information
Lunara enables parents and guardians to create profiles for their children in order to track development, milestones, health data, and parenting activities. The following terms apply to child profile information.
- Voluntary submission: All child profile information is provided voluntarily by you as the parent or guardian. Lunara does not independently collect child information
- Accuracy responsibility: You are solely responsible for ensuring that all information you enter for a child profile is accurate, appropriate, and up to date
- Parental control: You retain full control over all child profiles and associated data at all times. You may update, correct, or delete any child profile or associated data through the application settings
- Limited purpose: Child data you enter is used solely to provide personalised parenting experiences and features within the Lunara application — it is never sold or used for advertising
- Multiple caregivers: If you share access to a child profile with another caregiver (such as a co-parent or nanny), you are responsible for ensuring that caregiver's use of Lunara complies with these Terms
- Deletion: You may delete any child profile and all associated data at any time through the application settings. See our Privacy Policy for full deletion details
Subscription Services
Lunara offers a free tier and optional paid subscription plans (collectively referred to as "Lunara Pro"). The following terms apply to all subscription services.
Subscription plans
- Free plan: Provides access to core tracking features with no charge and no time limit
- Monthly subscription: Provides access to all Pro features billed monthly
- Annual subscription: Provides access to all Pro features billed annually at a discounted rate
- Free trial: Where offered, provides temporary access to Pro features at no charge for a limited period
Premium and AI features
Certain features — including the weekly AI insights digest, full growth chart analysis, confidence scoring, post-vaccine monitoring, and advanced feeding-growth correlation — are available exclusively to Lunara Pro subscribers. Lunara reserves the right to modify which features are included in each tier at any time with reasonable notice.
Auto-renewal
Free trial terms
- If a free trial is offered, you will not be charged during the trial period
- Your payment method will be charged at the start of the first paid period if you do not cancel before the trial expires
- Only one free trial is available per user per subscription type
Billing and payment
- All billing is handled through authorised payment providers which may include Apple App Store, Google Play, Stripe, RevenueCat, or other approved payment processors
- Lunara does not directly store or process your full payment card information
- By subscribing, you authorise the applicable payment provider to charge your payment method for the applicable subscription fee
Cancellation
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play subscription management settings, or through the applicable payment provider
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; access to Pro features continues until that date
- Cancelling a subscription does not delete your account or data
Refunds
Refund eligibility is determined by the policies of the applicable platform through which you subscribed (Apple App Store or Google Play). Lunara does not independently process refunds for purchases made through app store platforms. For purchases made directly through Lunara's web platform, please contact us at hello@yourdomain.com.
Price changes
Lunara reserves the right to change subscription pricing. Where we make a pricing change that affects existing subscribers, we will provide reasonable advance notice (no less than 30 days) through the application or by email. Your continued subscription after the effective date of a price change constitutes your acceptance of the new price.
Acceptable Use Policy
When using Lunara, you agree to use the platform only for its intended lawful purpose — supporting your parenting journey. You may not:
- Use the platform for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Lunara platform, servers, databases, or associated systems
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Lunara application
- Upload, transmit, or introduce any virus, malware, spyware, or other malicious or harmful code
- Scrape, harvest, or systematically collect data from the platform
- Misuse or abuse the AI features, including attempts to manipulate AI outputs for purposes other than genuine parenting guidance
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Use the platform in any way that could damage, disrupt, overburden, or impair the performance or availability of the service
- Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any Lunara system or network
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
- Enter false, misleading, or inappropriate information, including false child health data
AI Services
Lunara uses artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to analyse parenting tracking data and generate personalised insights, alerts, recommendations, and weekly digest summaries. The following terms govern your use of all AI features within the platform.
Nature of AI outputs
- AI-generated responses, insights, alerts, and recommendations are generated automatically by machine learning systems
- AI outputs may not always be accurate, complete, current, or appropriate for your specific circumstances
- AI content provided through Lunara is informational and educational in nature only
- You should apply your own personal judgement, parental instinct, and professional advice before acting on any AI-generated recommendation
Your responsibilities when using AI features
- Treat all AI outputs as general informational content, not as authoritative or professional guidance
- Independently verify important information with qualified professionals
- Do not rely on AI outputs for any decision that could affect your child's health, safety, or wellbeing without first consulting a qualified healthcare provider
- Report any AI output you believe to be inaccurate, harmful, or inappropriate through the in-app feedback mechanism or by contacting us at hello@yourdomain.com
AI model updates
Lunara's AI models are periodically reviewed and updated by our team and clinical advisors. The AI features and the quality of outputs may change over time as we improve the platform. We do not guarantee that AI features will remain unchanged or continuously available.
Medical Disclaimer
This section contains important limitations on the nature of the Lunara service that directly affect your rights and your child's health and safety.
What Lunara is NOT
- Lunara is NOT a medical device — it has not been approved, cleared, or certified as a medical device by any regulatory authority in any jurisdiction
- Lunara is NOT a healthcare provider — it does not employ or provide access to medical professionals as part of its service
- Lunara is NOT a paediatrician, doctor, nurse, therapist, psychologist, or any other form of licensed healthcare professional
- Lunara is NOT a hospital, clinic, or medical facility
- Lunara is NOT regulated as a medical product in any jurisdiction
What Lunara does NOT do
- Lunara does NOT diagnose any medical condition, developmental disorder, illness, disease, or health concern
- Lunara does NOT provide treatment plans for any condition
- Lunara does NOT prescribe medication, supplements, or any therapeutic intervention
- Lunara does NOT replace professional paediatric, medical, or therapeutic services of any kind
- Lunara does NOT provide clinical assessments of child development
Nature of content
- Developmental milestones displayed in Lunara are informational estimates based on population-level research — they are not individual clinical assessments
- Growth expectations shown in Lunara are educational reference ranges derived from published WHO and CDC data — they are not diagnoses of growth conditions
- Sleep recommendations are general guidance derived from published research and clinical guidelines — they are not individualised sleep therapy or medical prescriptions
- Feeding recommendations are informational references from published guidelines — they are not clinical nutrition plans or medical feeding prescriptions
- Vaccination schedule information is reference material from published CDC, WHO, and AAP schedules — it is not a substitute for advice from your child's healthcare provider regarding your child's specific vaccination needs
When to consult a healthcare professional
You must always consult a qualified, licensed healthcare professional — including a paediatrician, general practitioner, or appropriate specialist — regarding any of the following:
- Any medical concern about your child's health
- Any developmental concerns, including delays in milestones
- Any growth concerns, including unusual weight gain or loss
- Any feeding difficulties, concerns, or questions
- Any sleep disorders or persistent sleep difficulties
- Any behavioural or emotional concerns
- Any mental health concerns relating to your child or yourself
- All vaccination decisions, including timing and scheduling
- Any question where the health or safety of your child or family is involved
In any medical emergency, you must immediately contact your local emergency services (911 in the US, 999 in the UK, 112 in the EU, 108 in India) or take your child to the nearest emergency medical facility. Lunara must never be used as a substitute for emergency medical care. Do not delay seeking emergency medical attention because of information or lack of information in this application.
Developmental Guidance Disclaimer
Lunara provides developmental milestone information and parenting guidance based on published population-level paediatric research. The following principles apply to all developmental content within the application:
- Every child is unique: Children develop at their own individual pace. The developmental information provided in Lunara reflects population averages and statistical ranges — not a fixed schedule every child must follow
- Milestones are approximate references: Milestone age ranges are approximate estimates based on research populations. They are not rigid deadlines or clinical thresholds
- Earlier or later achievement is normal: A child achieving a milestone earlier or later than the reference range does not automatically indicate a developmental problem. Wide variation is typical in healthy child development
- Differences do not indicate disorders: The presence or absence of a milestone at a particular age, as shown in Lunara, does not constitute a diagnosis of any developmental condition, delay, or disorder
- Cultural and individual variation: Developmental trajectories vary across individuals, families, cultural environments, and circumstances — Lunara's reference data may not reflect all populations equally
No Professional Relationship
Your use of Lunara does not create any professional, clinical, or advisory relationship between you and Lunara Technologies Private Limited. Specifically, using Lunara does not create:
- A doctor–patient relationship
- A therapist–patient or counsellor–client relationship
- A paediatrician–family relationship
- A healthcare provider–patient relationship of any kind
- A nurse–patient relationship
- An educational institution–student relationship
- A professional advisory relationship of any kind
- Any fiduciary, consultancy, or professional services relationship
Lunara is a technology platform that provides educational tools and AI-generated informational content. All professional guidance — medical, developmental, psychological, nutritional, or otherwise — should be sought from qualified, licensed professionals who know your child and your family's specific circumstances.
Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in and to the Lunara platform and its content are owned by or licensed to Lunara Technologies Private Limited. This includes:
- The Lunara brand name, trademark, and logo
- The Lunara application software, source code, and compiled application
- All user interface designs, visual elements, and layouts
- All written content, parenting guidance text, and editorial content within the platform
- All AI systems, models, algorithms, and machine learning infrastructure
- All databases, data structures, and data compilations
- All features, functionalities, and workflows
What you may not do
Without Lunara's express prior written permission, you may not:
- Copy, reproduce, distribute, or publish any part of the Lunara application or its content
- Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based on the Lunara application
- Use the Lunara brand, logo, or trademarks in any way
- Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
- Use any automated means to extract, scrape, or harvest content from the platform
Feedback
If you submit feedback, suggestions, or ideas about Lunara, you grant Lunara a royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide licence to use that feedback without any obligation to you.
User Content
When you enter information into Lunara — including tracking data, notes, photos, videos, and milestone records — the following applies:
- Ownership: You retain full ownership of all content and information you submit to Lunara
- Limited licence to Lunara: By submitting content, you grant Lunara Technologies Private Limited a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to process, store, and use that content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Lunara service to you. This licence does not include any right to sell your data or to use it for advertising
- Accuracy responsibility: You are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness of any content you submit
- No prohibited content: You must not submit any content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, obscene, or that infringes the rights of any third party
- Photo and video content: Any photos or videos you upload are stored securely and are not publicly accessible. They are used solely to provide the memory and milestone features within your private account
Data Privacy
Your use of Lunara is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms of Service by reference. The Privacy Policy explains in full how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal data and your child's data.
By agreeing to these Terms of Service, you also agree to the terms of our Privacy Policy. If there is any conflict between these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy in relation to data processing, the Privacy Policy shall prevail to the extent of that conflict.
Service Availability
Lunara strives to provide a reliable and continuously available service. However, the following limitations apply:
- Service evolution: Lunara's features, functionality, and content may change over time as we improve the platform
- Modification of features: Lunara reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or aspect of the service at any time, with or without prior notice
- Maintenance: Planned or emergency maintenance periods may temporarily affect availability. We will endeavour to provide advance notice of planned maintenance where reasonably practicable
- No availability guarantee: Lunara does not guarantee that the service will be continuously available, error-free, or uninterrupted. We do not accept liability for any loss or inconvenience caused by service interruptions
- Third-party dependencies: The availability of Lunara may depend on third-party infrastructure providers (such as cloud hosting services) over which Lunara has no direct control
- Geographic availability: Lunara may not be available in all countries or regions. We reserve the right to restrict access in certain jurisdictions
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Lunara Technologies Private Limited, its directors, officers, employees, agents, licensors, and service providers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary losses or damages of any kind arising from or in connection with:
- Any parenting, caregiving, or childcare decision made based on information provided through the application
- Any child development outcomes, whether or not related to milestone data shown in the application
- Any missed, delayed, or misinterpreted developmental milestones
- Any medical outcomes, health decisions, or healthcare choices made in reliance on Lunara content
- Any vaccination decisions, including decisions about timing, scheduling, or whether to vaccinate
- Any feeding decisions, including breastfeeding, formula feeding, or weaning choices
- Any sleep decisions or the outcomes of any sleep training or schedule changes
- Any reliance on AI-generated insights, recommendations, alerts, or content
- Any loss, corruption, or unavailability of data
- Any service interruptions, downtime, or technical failures
- Any acts or omissions of third-party service providers integrated with or used by Lunara
- Any unauthorised access to your account resulting from your failure to maintain account security
Aggregate liability cap
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms of Service or your use of Lunara shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the total subscription fees paid by you to Lunara in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim; or (b) INR 1,000 (or the equivalent in your local currency at the time of the claim).
Jurisdictional exceptions
Some jurisdictions do not permit the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or types of liability. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death, or personal injury caused by Lunara's negligence.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Lunara Technologies Private Limited and its directors, officers, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:
- Your violation of these Terms of Service
- Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
- Your misuse of the Lunara platform or any of its features
- Any content or information you submit to the platform
- Your infringement of any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights
- Any dispute between you and another user or caregiver with access to your account
Lunara reserves the right, at its own expense, to assume the exclusive defence and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, and in such case you agree to cooperate with Lunara's defence of that claim.
Third-Party Services
The Lunara application may integrate with, depend on, or use services provided by third parties. Third-party services used by Lunara may include, but are not limited to:
- Google services — including Google Sign-In, Firebase (for authentication, database, analytics, and crash reporting), and Google Cloud infrastructure
- Apple services — including Sign In with Apple and Apple In-App Purchase processing
- Firebase — for backend infrastructure, real-time data, and performance monitoring
- RevenueCat — for subscription management and in-app purchase tracking
- AI providers — including companies that may include OpenAI, Anthropic, or other providers of large language model and AI inference infrastructure
- Payment processors — including Stripe or other authorised payment platforms
- Analytics providers — for understanding aggregated, anonymised usage patterns
- Customer support platforms — for managing support interactions
Termination
Termination by Lunara
Lunara reserves the right to suspend, restrict access to, or permanently terminate your account and your access to the platform:
- If you violate any provision of these Terms of Service
- If you engage in conduct that Lunara reasonably believes is harmful to other users, to the platform, or to Lunara's reputation
- If required by applicable law or a lawful order from a competent authority
- If your account has been inactive for an extended period (with notice)
- If Lunara decides to discontinue the service in whole or in part
Where reasonably practicable and not prohibited by law, Lunara will provide notice of account termination and an opportunity to export your data before termination takes effect. Where a serious violation has occurred, Lunara may terminate immediately without prior notice.
Termination by you
You may terminate your account at any time by using the account deletion feature within the application (Settings → Account → Delete Account) or by contacting us at hello@yourdomain.com. Termination of your account is subject to the data deletion terms described in our Privacy Policy.
Effect of termination
Upon termination of your account — by either party — your right to access and use Lunara ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 9, 11, 12, 16, 17, and 20) shall continue to apply.
Governing Law
Governing law
These Terms of Service and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [JURISDICTION — e.g., the State of [State], India / England and Wales], without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

If you are a consumer located in the EU, UK, Australia, or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection laws, those laws may give you additional rights that these Terms cannot exclude.
Changes to These Terms
Lunara reserves the right to update, modify, or replace these Terms of Service at any time. We will provide notice of material changes as follows:
- We will display a prominent notice within the Lunara application when material changes are made
- Where we hold your email address, we will send a notification email in advance of material changes taking effect
- The "Last updated" date at the top of these Terms will be revised to reflect the date of the most recent changes
- For significant changes, we will provide at least 14 days' advance notice before the changes take effect, except where changes are required immediately by law or to address security concerns
Your continued use of the Lunara application after the effective date of any updated Terms of Service constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must discontinue use of the application before the effective date and may contact us to request deletion of your account.
