What You Can Delete
Lunara gives you complete control over your personal information and your child's data. You may request permanent deletion of any or all of the following at any time:
What Happens When You Delete
When you delete your Lunara account, the following consequences take effect immediately upon confirmation and are completed within 30 days:
🚫 Access and authentication
Your account access is removed immediately upon confirmation. You will be signed out of all devices and will not be able to log back in using your previous credentials.
💳 Subscription access ends
Access to Lunara Pro features ends. Note: your subscription through the App Store or Google Play is not automatically cancelled — you must cancel it separately. See Section 08.
👶 Child profiles removed
All child profiles you created — including names, dates of birth, photos, and all associated tracking data — are permanently deleted.
📊 All parenting records removed
Every sleep log, feeding record, growth measurement, milestone entry, vaccination record, doctor visit note, and AI conversation history is permanently and irrecoverably deleted.
📸 Photos and memories removed
All photos, videos, and milestone memory entries stored in your Lunara account are permanently deleted.
⚙️ Preferences and settings removed
All saved preferences, notification settings, caregiver access, and account configurations are removed.
Data That May Be Retained
Lunara is committed to minimising data retention. However, certain limited categories of data may need to be retained beyond account deletion to meet legal and regulatory obligations. Retained data is the absolute minimum required by law and is isolated from active user systems.
- Financial and transaction records — billing confirmations, subscription records, and payment transaction tokens required for tax and accounting compliance (typically 7 years under Indian company law and applicable tax law)
- Fraud prevention and security logs — security event logs and abuse records required to prevent future fraud, account compromise, or misuse of the platform
- Legal compliance records — information subject to an active legal hold, regulatory investigation, law enforcement request, or dispute resolution process
- Anonymised and aggregated data — data that has been fully anonymised so that it cannot identify you or your child may be retained for product research and improvement purposes
Delete a Child Profile
You do not need to delete your entire Lunara account to remove a child's data. You can delete individual child profiles — including all associated records — without affecting your account or other child profiles.

How to delete a child profile in the app
Open the Lunara app
Launch Lunara on your iOS or Android device.
Go to Settings
Tap the Settings icon in the bottom navigation or profile area.
Open Children
Select "Children" from the settings menu to see all child profiles linked to your account.
Select the child profile
Tap the child's name or profile you wish to delete.
Tap Delete Profile
Select "Delete Profile" at the bottom of the child's profile settings page.
Confirm permanent deletion
Read the confirmation prompt carefully. Tap "Delete permanently" to complete. This action cannot be undone.
Delete Your Account In the App
The fastest way to delete your Lunara account is directly within the application. Follow these steps:
Open Lunara
Launch the Lunara app on your iOS or Android device and ensure you are signed in to the account you wish to delete.
Go to Settings
Tap the Settings icon — found in the bottom navigation bar or in the profile menu at the top right of the home screen.
Open Account Settings
Select "Account" or "Account Settings" from the settings menu.
Select Delete Account
Scroll to the bottom of the Account Settings page and tap "Delete Account". This option is clearly labelled.
Review the deletion summary
A summary screen will show you exactly what will be deleted. We recommend exporting your health report before proceeding if you wish to keep a record.
Complete identity verification
Enter your password or complete the identity verification step to confirm the request is from you.
Confirm permanent deletion
Tap "Delete My Account Permanently". Your deletion request is submitted immediately. You will receive a confirmation email when the process is complete.
Request Deletion by Email
If you are unable to delete your account through the Lunara application — for example, if you no longer have access to your device or account — you may submit a deletion request by email. All deletion requests submitted by email are processed within 30 days.

- → Confirmation that you wish to delete the entire account (or specify if partial deletion only)
Deletion Timeline
Here is exactly what happens after you submit a deletion request:
Immediately — Account access removed
Your account is locked and you are signed out of all devices the moment your deletion request is confirmed through the in-app flow or verified by our team for email requests.
Within 24 hours — Confirmation email sent
You will receive an email acknowledging your deletion request and confirming it is being processed.
Within 30 days — Active data deleted
All personal data, child profiles, tracking records, AI conversations, photos, and account information are permanently deleted from Lunara's active systems within 30 days of your confirmed request.
Confirmation — Deletion complete email
You will receive a final confirmation email confirming that your account and all associated data have been permanently deleted.
Within 60 days — Backup purge
Any residual copies of your data in encrypted backup systems are purged within 60 days of your original deletion request as part of our standard backup rotation cycle.
Subscription Reminder
How to cancel your subscription before deleting
🍎 Apple App Store (iPhone / iPad)
Go to iPhone Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Lunara → Cancel Subscription. Alternatively, open the App Store → tap your profile icon → Subscriptions → Lunara → Cancel Subscription.
▶ Google Play Store (Android)
Open the Google Play Store → tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Lunara → Cancel Subscription.
🌐 Direct web subscription
If you subscribed directly through Lunara's website, email hello@yourdomain.com to cancel before deleting your account.
We strongly recommend cancelling your subscription before submitting an account deletion request to avoid any unintended charges. Refund eligibility for charges after account deletion is subject to the refund policies of Apple and Google.
AI Data Deletion
Lunara's AI features generate personalised insights, weekly digests, and pattern analysis based on your child's tracking data. When you delete your account or a child profile, all AI-related data is also deleted.
- AI conversation history — all questions, prompts, and conversations you had with the Lunara AI assistant are permanently deleted from our systems
- Personalised AI profiles — the AI's learned understanding of your baby's specific patterns, baselines, and developmental trajectory is deleted and cannot be reconstructed
- AI-generated insights and weekly digests — all previously generated insights, alerts, confidence scores, and weekly digest summaries associated with your account are permanently removed
- No model training from your data — your personal child data was never used to train shared AI models accessible by other users. There is therefore no shared model to "remove your data from" — your data was always isolated to your account
- AI feedback data — any thumbs-up or thumbs-down feedback you provided on AI responses is deleted along with your account
Security Verification
Because account deletion is irreversible and permanently removes sensitive child health data, Lunara requires identity verification before processing any deletion request. This protects you against unauthorised deletion of your account by another person.
- In-app deletions: You will be asked to enter your current password or complete biometric authentication (Face ID / fingerprint) before the deletion is confirmed
- Email deletion requests: Our support team may ask you to verify ownership of the account by replying from the registered email address, answering a security question, or providing your account identifier
- Social login accounts: If you signed up using Google or Apple sign-in, you may be asked to re-authenticate with the relevant provider before deletion proceeds
- Unusual deletion requests: If our security systems flag a deletion request as potentially unauthorised (for example, if it comes from an unrecognised device or location), we may require additional verification steps before proceeding

No. Deleting your Lunara account does not automatically cancel your App Store or Google Play subscription. You must cancel your subscription separately through your Apple or Google account settings before deleting your Lunara account. See Section 08 for step-by-step instructions.
Deleting your account permanently removes: your account credentials, all child profiles, all tracking data (sleep, feeding, growth, milestones, vaccines, doctor visits), all AI conversation history and personalised AI insights, all photos and memory entries, and all preferences and settings. Some financial and security records may be retained for legal compliance as described in Section 03.
Active data deletion is completed within 30 days of your confirmed request. You will receive a confirmation email when deletion is complete. Backup system copies are purged within 60 days of your original request as part of our standard backup rotation process.
No. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once confirmed, your account and all associated data cannot be recovered. We recommend exporting a health report (Settings → Export Health Report) before submitting your deletion request if you wish to retain records of your child's development history.
